Meet the team
Our dentists
Cindy Linsey-Bloom BDS
I qualified at Bristol University Dental School in 1984 and have worked in general dental practice ever since, in Worle and then in Long Ashton.
In this time I’ve enjoyed getting to know people over a number of years, seeing children grow up, and seeing the results of dental treatment over
that time span. I love it when someone is really happy with what I do for them, whether it’s a painless extraction, beautiful white teeth, or
helping them feel more relaxed.
Since buying the dental practice at Birdwell Clinic in 2001, I’ve found great satisfaction in developing a team of caring and enthusiastic people
around me. I’ve also been able to put my longstanding belief in the benefits of preventive dentistry into practice more fully.
I have two teenage children and in my spare time I like to relax with my family or friends. I also teach meditation and Buddhism at the
Bristol Buddhist Centre.
Cindy works at Birdwell Clinic on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Louise Nash BDS
I qualified in 1976 from Bristol University with Honours, gaining both the gold medal and BDA medal. During my career, I have combined my time
in dental practice with teaching at the Dental Hospital and bringing up my three (now grown!) children. My special interests are in Restorative
Dentistry, Orthodontics and Homeopathy in relation to Dentistry, which I both practice and teach, and also running the Vocational Training Scheme
for newly qualified dentists in Bristol. I have a Diploma in Homeopathy and a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
I enjoy the theatre, opera and studying Art History and Italian, as well as skiing and I also look forward to lots of travelling in the future!
Louise works at Birdwell Clinic on Wednesdays.
Helen Boylan BDS
I was brought up in Shropshire, qualified in Birmingham, and now enjoy life in Bristol since relocating here in 2004. I have worked in both NHS and
private dental practices in the Bristol and Gloucestershire areas, and have also worked in the oral surgery department at Bristol’s dental hospital.
I have particular interests in cosmetic white fillings and tooth whitening, and enjoy treating a wide range of patients from children attending for
the first time, to nervous patients, who perhaps haven’t set foot in a dental surgery for some time. Outside of dentistry I am a keen fan of surfing
and indoor rock climbing, and indulge in both when time and weather allow. I also enjoy running and yoga to relax.
Helen works at Birdwell Clinic on Mondays, and on Thursday afternoons and evenings
